Air purifiers

Below are some common questions about our air purifiers.

Do I really need an air purifier?

More and more homes and workplaces are equipping themselves with an air purifier. This is due to the fact that indoor air is on average 2 to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air. Whether in the city or in the countryside, we find the same pollutants indoors and outdoors (germs, fine particles, pollen, mites, smoke, tobacco). But not only that, we actually find those same pollutants in higher concentrations indoors than outdoors, generated by many indoor sources such as every day chemicals like volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or synthetic products: aerosols, sprays, air fresheners, cosmetic products, paints, glues and solvents, insulation, cleaning, DIY or home furnishing products, fine particles from heating or cooking, tobacco smoke… the list goes on! Exposure to indoor air pollution has vast adverse effects on health - read more here. Eoleaf devices are not only able to measure and monitor this pollution, but also to eliminate it completely.

Why choose an Eoleaf air purifier?

Because Eoleaf air purifiers are the best on the market! Eoleaf devices have an unmatched capacity for filtering air pollution. Our 8-stage filtration method guarantees the removal of 99.97% of all indoor air pollutants down to a size of 0.01 microns in a single pass. Numerous tests and certificates attest to our exceptional performance on ALL forms of pollution, including chemical and gaseous pollutants.

What is unique about Eoleaf air purifiers?

Eoleaf devices are the air pruifiers on the market that are 2-in-1 air purifiers and ionisers, all while offering our proprietary 8-step filtration and depollution technology. Among our other differentiating factors, you will also find:

  • Very low power consumption (15W on average)
  • A separate remote control terminal (INCLUDED with your purchase of an AEROPRO 100 or AEROPRO 150) that allows you to monitor air quality in real time (PM2.5 and VOCs)
  • Optimised air circulation with 360° air inlet and vertical rediffusion which allows record CADR power all without generating too much noise
  • Smart features: smartphone app compatibility, Automatic mode (which reacts to any incoming pollution), smart scheduling and automation, hands-free gesture controls, and voice commands
  • No installation or fitting required (plugs directly into a power outlet) and annual maintenance that takes less than one minute
Where is the best place in my home or workplace to install my Eoleaf air purifier?

We recommend that you install your air purifier in a location where it benefits from optimal airflow, is as close as possible to the main source of pollution, and where it will not be obstructed by furniture or other fixtures in the home or workplace. You can find our guide on how to choose the right location for your air purifier here. You can find our guide on how to find the right location for your air purifier here.

How often should I replace my filters?

Eoleaf air purifiers are equipped with multi-layer filters. All of the layers are contained within the same filter block, meaning that you will not need to change several filters at different intervals. The AEROPRO 40, AEROPRO 100, and AEROPRO 150 models require a filter change every 12 months. The Pure CAR requires a filter change every 6 months. Refer to our article on why it is essential to replace your filters at regular intervals here.

How much electricity do Eoleaf air purifiers use to run?

Very little! Our air purifiers have been optimised to be extremely energy-efficient. On average, our air purifiers consume only 15W for every hour that they are left running. That's about £11 ($8) per year if you use them 8 hours a day, every day.

How often and how long do I need to use it for it to be effective?

For professionals, it is advised to keep the air purifier running in Automatic mode during the day and to turn it off upon leaving for the evening.

For individuals, the air purifier can be used continuously, although there is usually no need to use it for more than 2-3 hours per day. An example of typical use may be to turn on the device for one hour in both the morning and evening after having ventilated your space (and after having closed your windows). This is usually more than enough to maintain optimal air quality. Of course, this must be adapted according to the situation. It is perfectly normal (and a good idea) to use it longer if, for example, you want to protect yourself from stubborn cigarette odours from a neighbour, at night if you are allergic or asthmatic, or even continuously during a seasonal epidemic or pandemic.

Eoleaf devices are designed to last, and you will be able to adapt the use of your device to your personal situation, your state of health, and your air quality as shown on our remote control terminal.

Filters & UV lamps

Below are some common questions about our filters and UV lamps.

How often should I replace my filters?

The AEROPRO 40, AEROPRO 100, and AEROPRO 150 models require a filter change every 12 months. The Pure CAR requires a filter change every 6 months. Refer to our article on why it is essential to replace your filters at regular intervals here.

Note that Eoleaf air purifiers are equipped with multi-layer filters. All of the layers are contained within the same filter block, meaning that you will not need to change several filters at different intervals.

Why is it so important to change my filters regularly?

Over time, filters gradually become saturated with pollution, which can cause the device's motor to overwork and degrade. Additionally, if you continue using a saturated filter, it may start releasing the pollutants that it has captured and stored back into the air. Filters have a shelf life, even when they are not being used, because they interact with their surrounding air.

You will find a detailed article on this question on this page here.

Do Eoleaf devices require changing multiple filters?

No! Compared to many of our competitors, all of our 8 filtration technologies are contained within one filter block. This means no need to keep separate filter change schedules and no need to purchase separate filters. Simply change one filter, once per year (twice per year for the Pure CAR).

How do I change my filter?

You will find the procedure for replacing the filter in this PDF here.

We also have a YouTube channel with a video showing the filter replacement procedure for each model.

Does the ionisation function require any maintenance?

No, it does not! Negative ions are created through an electrical field. This function does not require maintenance of any kind.

How long do the UV lamps last?

Our UVC lamps are designed to last 20,000 hours, which is equivalent to several years of use, depending on how frequently you use your air purifier.

How do I change the UV lamp?

You can order replacement UV lamps on this page here.

If you have a model that is Wi-Fi equipped (AEROPRO 40, AEROPRO 100 2.0, or AEROPRO 150 2.0), then your unit has two UV lamps. With these devices, the UV lamp can easily be changed by the user. Simply remove the filter, and you will be able to access the lamps.

If you have an older model without Wi-Fi (AEROPRO 100 1.0, AEROPRO 150 1.0), then you only need one UV lamp per device. In this case, please get in touch with our customer support team, as the procedure is more technical and complex.

Are Eoleaf filters compatible with my AIRVIA Medical device?

Absolutely! We sell the exact same filters as those that were supplied with AIRVIA Medical devices. Find a guide below on choosing the right filter for your AIRVIA Medical device. Read more about what happened to AIRVIA Medical here.
